THT (Through hole technology) Crystal Series with leads HC-49/U

The crystals of the HC-49/U series are the most versatile crystals available. They can be ordered in the frequency range 1.8432–200.0MHz with an extended temperature range of up to –40°C +125°C and in a variety of wiring options. These options include; shortened connections, with isolators, tape and reel or, as an SMD version with pre-bent leads and a metal jacket.

If you choose the HC-49/U with the options “isolator” and “tape and reel” we would suggest that you check on using the SMD crystals in the HC-49/US-SMD series. Depending on the exact parameters required it could be that the HC-49/US-SMD series is cheaper than the HC-49/U plus two options.

A frequency tolerance of +-5ppm at 25°C and a frequency stability +-3ppm over -10°C to +55°C are possible.
Ageing is at a maximum after the first year and then it reduces successively (Exponential Function). The standard ageing is +-2ppm maximum after the first year.
If required, an ageing of +-1ppm maximum after the first year is available.
It is also possible to deliver crystals with very tight parameters including ageing over 10 years.

The layout of the HC-49/U with leads is the same as that of the competition. This compatibility makes the HC-49/U a direct drop in replacement.

The HC-49/U crystal, with leads, can be used for all applications where a low cost and high performance THT crystal clock generator is required.

Our THT crystals in the HC-49/U series are manufactured exclusively in clean rooms and we only use crystal blanks that come from our own production. In this way the HC-49/U series offers its users the absolute best possible quality. If needed, this crystal can also be qualified to the automotive norm, AECQ200REV.C.

The extensive depth of manufacturing processes enables us to achieve excellent yields. In this way we can offer low prices together with exceptional quality. This is of course also true for customer specials.

The HC-49/U crystals are lead (Pb) free and are RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) conform according to the EU directive 2002/95/EG. Our products can be soldered according to JEDEC Norm J-STD-020C (Reflow), JESD22-B106-C (Wave) and the IEC60068-2-20 Norm. If you need other soldering processes please let us test them for you.

As a lower cost alternative to the THT crystal HC-49/U series with leads there are: the HC-49/US with leads and a maximum package height of 3.5mm, or the SMD version in a metal package HC-49/US-SMD.
