Very low power consumption and excellent jitter values are just as much on board as very favourable prices, very fast availability of samples and series quantities. Frequency stability is available for the XOs from +-10ppm over -40/+85°C in housings from 3.2x2.5mm, or the TC&VCTCXOs in housings from 3.2x2.5mm with +-2.5ppm temperature stability over -40/+85°C. The LVCMOS, LVDS and CML versions are available with supply voltages from 1.8VDC, or LVPECL, HCSL and LVDS from 2.5 VDC. The silicon differential oscillators can replace corresponding quartz oscillators and thus generate large savings potentials.
The product range of Differential Silicon Low Power Oscillators (XO - DLPO series) includes solutions in the frequency range from 1.0 - 625625 MHz, depending on the version, including versions that are specially optimised for the requirements of 10GB Ethernet, SONET, SATA, SAS, Fibre Channel and PCI Express. Typical applications for differential silicon oscillators include telecoms, networking, Ethernet, instrumentation, storage, server and industrial control system applications.
Compared to conventional quartz differential oscillators, differential silicon oscillators require less than half the power consumption and have frequency stabilities of ±10 ppm over -40/+85°C. Solutions are available with output signals LVCMOS, LVDS and CML from 1.8 VDC or LVPECL, HCSL and LVDS from 2.5 VDC.
The differential silicon oscillators of the DLPO series are available in the 6Pad packages 3.2x2.5, 5.0x3.2 and 7x5mm and can be used on the same layouts as the quartz differential oscillators as a direct 100% drop-in replacement of the quartz solutions. In order to reduce the current consumption to 10 µA when not in use, all versions have the ST (stand-by) function on pin 1. A very fast transient behaviour of max. 10ms after power-on is guaranteed as well as the excellent low ageing of ±1ppm max. after the first year.
Samples of the differential silicon oscillators can be dispatched on the same day in any frequency in the range from 1 - 625 MHz with ±20ppm over -40/+85°C with 1.8 - 3.3 VDC, provided the samples have been ordered from PETERMANN-TECHNIK by 14:00. If other parameters are required, sample oscillators or series quantities can still be made available within a very short time.
The TC&VCTCXO differential versions of the DTCVCTO and HFDTCVCTO series are available with temperature stabilities of +-2.5ppm over -40/+85°C and a 10-year ageing of +-5ppm as standard and are characterised by a very wide control voltage range of up to +-50 ppm. The TC&VCTCXO solutions also offer a very low jitter value, very low power consumption, very small housing dimensions and very favourable prices.
