25 MHz AEC-Q200 SMD oscillating crystals are essential for the clocking of automotive SPE ICs. The 25 MHz AUTOMOTIVE LRT oscillating crystals in various housing versions have become established in our customers' applications. Based on the LRT technology based quartz resonators are popular for their extremely innovative resonator design and for their outstanding quality and performance. Based on the 100% testing process, our LRT crystals are also characterised by their very long service life and reliability, thus guaranteeing many years of trouble-free operation of the corresponding automotive applications.
Due to the very high production volumes, all of the frequency-generating components we supply offer an excellent price-performance ratio and therefore make a significant contribution to reliable costing and long-term cost efficiency.
What is the technical advantage of the LRT crystals, apart from the very favourable price?
Due to the very low resistance of the LRT resonant crystals, a significantly faster and safer transient behaviour in the circuit of the Single Pair Ethernet ICs is made possible, even over the automotive temperature range of -40/+125°C, so that the current consumption of the circuit is reduced and a lower power requirement results. Thus, the LRT resonant crystals support the customer not only in his technical performance, but also in his pursuit of sustainability and energy efficiency. The highest level of product reliability from delivery batch to delivery batch is naturally guaranteed, as only quartz resonators developed and manufactured in-house are used in our SMD LRT clock generators. This means that we can always supply the same LRT resonator design for the corresponding approved product for many years to come. Excellent quality and product performance is guaranteed by the 100% testing of the supplied SMD LRT resonator crystals. This is because everything from the raw quartz material to the end product is under the control of our own quality assurance department. Which housing versions/quartz specifications are currently favoured by our automotive customers?
Where possible, our customers use SMD crystals in 4-pad ceramic housings with the dimensions 3.2×2.5mm (SMD03025/4 crystal series), including in automotive applications. The SMD03025/4 oscillating quartz series is currently the cheapest quartz series available! If this housing is too large for the application in question, the next smallest top-selling oscillating quartz crystal has dimensions of 2.0×1.6mm, or forvery small applications the quartz frequency of 25 MHz is also available in a ceramic housing with dimensions of 1.6×1.2mm. With regard to the quartz parameters, the frequency tolerance of ±20 ppm at +25°C and the temperature stability of ±50 ppm over the automotive temperature range of -40 to 125°C have proven to be ideal for SPE automotive applications. Customers usually opt for the quartz load capacitance of 12pF (wiring of the quartz by means of external capacitances of 18pF to GND each), but other load capacitances are of course also available, such as 8pF or 10pF.
SMD top seller oscillating crystals in the ceramic housings 3.2×2.5mm/4pad, 2.0×1.6mm/4pad or also 1.6×1.2mm/4pad are of course also available in other versions.
