Resistance-optimised 32 MHz radio crystals for optimum transient response are available in inexpensive 3.2x2.5mm, 2.5x2.0 and 2.0x1.6mm ceramic housings with frequency tolerances from ±10ppm.
Our very broad and deep product range of "crystals" includes inexpensive crystal solutions for the "wireless" vertical market in various miniaturised ceramic housings in the fundamental frequency range of 12 - 64 MHz. The very durable SMD crystals have very low resistances so that they can be optimally and very quickly integrated into the customer circuit. The standard frequency tolerance at +25°C is ±10 ppm. The standard temperature stabilities are ±10ppm@-20/+70°C and ±15ppm@-40/+85°C respectively. After 10 years, the ageing is ±10ppm max. so that the parameterisation of the miniaturised SMD crystals means that they can be used in any radio application. If higher accuracies are required, please contact our engineering department or we recommend the use of ultra low power TCXOs. We also offer an Ultrasonic Welding Resistant SMD crystal with the designation SMD03025/4US in a 3.2x2.5mm ceramic housing. Of course, we can not only supply very inexpensive components, but also offer a very wide range of design-in services thanks to our in-house engineering, including measuring the corresponding SMD crystals directly in the customer's circuit. For new developments, we recommend using the very favourable 3.2x2.5mm ceramic housing. However, if this housing is too large, we recommend using the 2.0x1.6mm ceramic housing. Due to the constantly increasing demand for the 2.0x1.6mm ceramic housing, crystals in this housing are already cheaper than SMD crystals in the 2.5x2.0mm ceramic housing. Although we do not expect an EOL for the 2.5x2.0mm ceramic package, the fact that the very large volumes for 3.2x2.5 and 2.0x1.6mm packages are running means that the 2.5x2.0mm ceramic package is not particularly attractive in terms of price.
